April 13, 2021 Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao – The SKIA administration, faculty, staff and students mark the establishment of the SKIA Broadcasting Center a way to celebrate Ramadan (H.1442). The franchise to own and operate a radio station was granted to Sultan Kudarat Islamic Academy Foundation under R.A. 8681and approved by the Congress of the Philippines on June 25, 1998.
You can tune in the Test Broadcast on 107.3 MHZ FM which kicked off with the brand “Magnet FM” and with a slogan: “Azan – Ang Radyo Mo!”
Magnet FM broadcasts with office, studio and transmitter located at the SKIA Bldg. in Brgy Bulalo, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao, Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM). The station signs on every 4:00 AM and signs off every 10:00 PM.
SKIA Broadcasting Center will serve as a laboratory for “masscom” students enrolled in broadcasting courses as well as will provide communication and information services to the community at large.
SKIA radio broadcasting will carry news, talk shows, sports, and music along with educational shows and later remote learning courses. Faculty and student programming, commercial-like music rotation during the weekdays, and community-driven format streaming on weekends will be syndicated in multimedia ways: broadcasts, digital apps, and online live streaming.
