SKIA New Team Leaders Join 2026 to 2030 Strategic Planning

September 7, 2026 | Advancing SKIA Senior Leadership team, Datu Islmael Veloso Mastura was named as second president of the Sultan Muhammad Dipatuan Kudarat in January 2026. Officially, he took office in June 2026 from Datu Michael Ong Mastura who served as chief-executive-officer since its institutional founding in 1991.

Prior to his appointment, Datu “Dustin” Mastura served as Vice-President for Administration and Finance. His career track record outside in public office includes election to the Office of the Vice Governor of the undivided province of Maguindanao; and he was appointed later to the National Commission for Muslim Affairs (NCMF).

The SKIA core administrative and academic leadership has remained rounded-up in the Vice President for Academic Affairs and School Administrator Lourdes Veloso-Mastura. She holds a masters’ degree in Teacher Education from the Ateneo de Manila University. Meanwhile, Lawyer Michael O. Mastura will continue to serve on the Board of Trustees; he was conferred recently a Doctor of Humanities Honoris Causa by the Ateneo de Davao University.

Following IVM Mastura’s installation as president three new team leaders were named to join the CEO and Chairperson of the strategic plan. Rasmia T. Abag as Dean of the Faculty, Sarah A. Gasi as Dean of Student Services, Fahima Eto as College Registrar, Lailah D. Abpit and Mohammad B. Utosabuayan as IT Staff will maintain a visible presence on campus.

All are proud alumnae who earned distinctions as cum laude with their academic work and succession planning with Senior High School Principal Azmie Mohammad fit for the SKIA Islamic Foundation College.
