SKIA Conducts 1st Graduation Ceremony for the Decommissioned Combatants

March 14, 2022 – Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao. The Sultan Kudarat Islamic Academy (SKIA) conducted its first graduation ceremony for the 27 Decommissioned Combatants who finished their Carpentry NC II training under the Normalization Program of Executive Order No. 79 at the SKIA Auditorium.

The said training is a collaborative program of the office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAP) – Task Force Decommissioned Combatants and their Communities (TFDCC) and the Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE) of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region and Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) in partnership with SKIA.

Present during the program were Atty. Haron S. Meling, MBHTE Deputy Minister, representing the MBHTE Minister Mohager M. Iqbal as Keynote Speaker, Engr. Ruby A. Andong, BARMM Director General for MBHTE – TESD who gave her message of encouragement to the graduates, Sittie Fahara Ebrahim, Project Development Officer from OPAP, representing Hadji Abdullah Pacasem, Chairman of TFDCC – MILF, Yusoph “Eddie” Hashim, OIC chairman of the Political Committee of the Maguindanao Province, Engr. Salehk B. Mangelen, MBHTE – TESD Maguindanao Provincial Director who conferred the graduates, Atty. Datu Michael O. Mastura, SKIA President and CEO, Hadja Salma Lourdes V. Mastura, SKIA Administrator and College Dean, Datu Ismael V. Mastura, Al-Hadj, NCMF Commissioner and Atty. Datu Ishak V. Mastura , SKIA Corporate Secretary.

Meanwhile, Atty. Laisa M. Alamia, the Chairman of TFDCC – GPH, virtually delivered her message of encouragement to the graduates through a video presentation.
