Digos City – May 24. Gratitude and expressions of success emanated from inking an agreement for FM radio broadcast affiliation between Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) and Sultan Kudarat Islamic Academy Foundation, Inc. (SKIA College) on May 24, 2022.
SKIA college president Atty. Michael Mastura and Dr. Augie E. Fuentes, DSSC President, both signed in behalf of the two named-higher education institutions, respectively. Documentation was witnessed by Atty. Ishak V. Mastura, SKIA corporate secretary, and Dr. Luciano D. Nasibog, DSSC chief administrative officer.
DSSC is a newly converted agricultural State College that has set up an affiliate “SMART Agri Radio Station” located at its DSSC General Education Building. The signing event was immediately followed by an initial Test Broadcast.
“This is a milestone for DSSC community,” said DSSC President Fuentes. Further, she expressed DSSC’s gratitude “for the outpouring support of the Sultan Kudarat Islamic Academy Foundation.”
SKIA President Mastura reciprocated by recognizing: “Affiliate top-level support to campus broadcast communication and agricultural information services to the farming communities will enhance the instruction and extension function of Davao Sur State College.”
SKIA College owns the franchise approved under R.A. No. 8681 and operates its 5,000 Kw Radio Station via call sign DXMM 107.3 Mhz “Magnet FM”. As a legacy, it is managed by SKIA Broadcasting Center located on campus in the municipality of Sultan Kudarat, Maguindano, Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
NCFM Commissioner Datu Ismael V. Mastura came along with DXMM Manager Dominador T. Bancal and Program director Michael A. Peralta to inspire DSCC technical and administrative staff. Executive assistant to SKIA CEO, Rahima A. Mastura shared invigorating presence with Mumina C. Arbon and Bai Tihana K. Maulana.
