January 5, 2023, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao del Norte. The SKIA College is part of the Unified Financial Assistance System, or UniFast, that has awarded grants since 2018-2019 to its students pursuing tertiary level education.
The Admission office distributed last Thursday to 369 current third year and fourth year continuing-grantees of TES financial aid amounting to PhP 7,380,000. The beneficiaries were escorted by their parents or guardians to the Auditorium. This latest release covered only the First Semester of AY2022-2023.
UniFAST grants allotment for first year and second year to be released in early months of 2023 will increase inclusivity of students of all backgrounds. In mid-December 2022, Sen. Win Gazalian pronounced that “having funds and government subsidies to private schools in BARMM is of great help.”
Within its cohort, SKIA will build inclusivity to those college grantees belonging in STEM-related fields in teacher education as priority in UniFast awards. “The objective is retention and sustainable capacity among our purpose-driven students in science and math courses,” according to SKIA senior administrators.
